It is no secret that Estrella Strings has played at hundreds of weddings over the years, especially since the launch of the number one Netflix show Bridgerton. We are often asked, “What is the most popular aisle song?” and honestly, after playing so many wedding ceremonies, we have definitely noticed the songs that couples keep coming back to.
So here it is — our list of favourite wedding entrance songs for string quartet in 2026, based on songs we have actually played at weddings over the past few years. Some of these choices may surprise you.
Estrella's Favourite Artist for Aisle Songs:
Video Games / Young and Beautiful / Say Yes to Heaven, Lana del Rey
I could go on forever until the end of time about how wonderfully perfect all of Lana del Rey's songs are for the Violin, Cello, and just any string instrument in general. Her music and harmonies are a match made in heaven for a String Quartet, you just can't have a wedding ceremony without including at least one of her gorgeous arrangements. My all time favourite though, is Video Games.
Estrella's Favourite "Goosebump" Aisle Songs. Lesser known but more unique.
At Last, Etta James
Not only is this one of my personal favourites, as it makes an exquisite violin solo, but it really just does state 'this is what we have all been waiting for'. A grand entrance song, At Last remains one of the most powerful aisle songs of all time in my opinion.
Kissing You, Desree
This one has been requested a little more often in the last year, and it is easy to understand why. You may remember it from that iconic scene in Romeo and Juliet. This deeply romantic song has a slow emotional build up of strings that really gives you goosebumps.
Chasing Cars - Snow Patrol
Chasing Cars is one of the purest love songs. It captures the feeling of wanting a simple honest connection, without grand gestures or over complication. The melody slowly builds from nothing into a rich deep emotional high. It is still a little underrated as an aisle song, but it works beautifully.
Ruelle, I get to Love You.
The original song features a beautiful deep Cello line in the beginning and then gradually builds withmore and more emotion, Strings and movement. This song feels like it was made for a bridal entrance as it has that slow emotional build that is almost guaranteed to bring tears to your eyes.
Hallelujah - Leonard Cohen
Because of its soaring melody and emotional lyrics, this is one of my favourite songs to play for a bridal entrance. It is full of beautiful highs and emotional swells—perfectly mirrors the romantic tension, anticipation, and release of the aisle walk. I arranged my own version of Hallelujah just for this reason.
Our top picks of the most well known, and most chosen Aisle Songs.
All of Me, John Legend
John Legend’s "All of Me" is a beloved wedding processional choice for a reason. The romantic lyrics and slow, swaying rhythm set a beautiful, emotional tone for walking down the aisle. All of Me played on a String Quartet becomes a classic romantic bridal entrance.
A Thousand Years, Christina Perry
A powerful and popular love song that works incredibly well on strings. The String Quartet gives this song even more warmth and emotion, which is probably why it is still one of the songs we are asked to play the most often.
You are the Reason, Calum Scott
This song is a slow build song but has incredibly important words capturing the deep devotion of committing to someone. Another song written specifically for Strings - this is another one of my favourite and understated Aisle songs.
Can't Help Falling in Love, Elvis
As surprising as this seems, Can't Help Falling in Love is still our number 1 requested aisle song. These days, it is even requested more than Pachebel's Canon. It is simple, timeless, emotional and instantly recognisable.
